The RML75 is built to adapt as site requirements change. Its dual configuration design allows operators to choose the setup best suited to the task, expanding lifting possibilities while reducing the need for multiple pieces of equipment.

In its forward-facing configuration, the load is positioned directly in front of the mast, making it ideal for general lifting applications where there is clear access to the load. This setup provides excellent control and stability when handling materials, equipment, and components across construction sites, warehouses, workshops, and industrial facilities.

For more restricted environments, the lift can be converted into a counterbalance configuration. By eliminating front-leg interference, operators can safely position loads over obstacles such as machinery, pallets, workbenches, and fixed equipment. This makes it particularly effective for maintenance activities, manufacturing environments, utilities, and installation work where access is limited.

With both configurations available in a single unit, users gain the flexibility to handle a broader range of lifting applications while maximising equipment utilisation. Instead of investing in separate solutions for different lifting scenarios, the Reid Material Lift adapts to the task at hand, helping improve efficiency, simplify logistics, and deliver greater value throughout the life of the equipment.

The RML is engineered for mobility throughout every stage of the lifting operation. A full set of 360° swivel castors, including two locking castors, allows the unit to be manoeuvred effortlessly across the work area and positioned precisely where it is needed. When working at height, operators can make safe and controlled micro-adjustments without having to lower and reposition the load, improving placement accuracy and reducing downtime.

To support movement between locations, the RML is also equipped with standard horizontal transport wheels and dedicated rough ground wheels. This enables the lift to be moved safely over uneven terrain, across busy jobsites, and into vehicles with minimal effort. Together, these features reduce manual handling, speed up deployment, and allow a single unit to be transported and positioned quickly, even in challenging environments.

Alongside, the 360° castors, the RML75 is fitted with extra stabiliser legs to support the extended height of lift. This allows operators to safely and efficiently lift materials at greater heights.

The RML is designed to keep operators working efficiently without relying on additional tools or detachable components. Its tool-free conversion between forward-facing and counterbalance configurations enables quick adjustments on site, while captive plunger pins remain attached to the unit, preventing lost parts that can cause delays, downtime, and unnecessary replacement costs. The result is a simpler, more reliable lifting solution that is always ready when you need it.

Cable twists, kinks, and uneven winding are common causes of premature wear and unplanned maintenance on many material lifts. To help avoid these issues, the RML is equipped as standard with a galvanised anti-twist steel cable across the range. The cable is specifically designed to resist rotation during lifting operations, helping it remain properly aligned and reducing the likelihood of tangles, birdcaging, and other forms of cable damage.

For operators, this means smoother and more predictable lifting performance, with less interruption caused by cable issues. The anti-twist design helps maintain consistent load control throughout the lifting process, while the galvanised construction provides increased resistance to corrosion in demanding environments. By reducing wear and extending cable life, operators benefit from lower replacement costs, reduced maintenance requirements, and greater confidence that the lift is ready when needed.

Combining the unique rear pulley, quick change rear pulley, and hardwearing alloy pulleys, the RML is engineered to deliver smoother lifting performance, reduced wear, and faster maintenance. Together, these features create a robust pulley system that improves reliability in daily use while helping to minimise downtime and operating costs.

The wide rear pulley design promotes a consistent and even cable feed onto the winch drum, reducing cable stress and preventing uneven winding. This results in smoother lifting operation, improved load control, and reduced wear on critical components, helping maintain performance over the long term.

To further enhance serviceability, the quick-change rear pulley can be removed using a single bolt, allowing maintenance teams to carry out inspections, repairs, or replacements quickly and efficiently. This minimises disruption on site and helps keep equipment available when it is needed most.

Constructed from hardwearing alloy, the pulleys are designed to withstand the demands of regular site use, providing increased durability and a longer service life. Their robust construction also contributes to smoother operation and lower maintenance requirements over time.

Unlike traditional lifting systems, the RML’s virtually silent winch allows lifting tasks to be carried out with minimal disruption to the surrounding environment. This is particularly valuable on live worksites, in occupied buildings, public spaces, museums, healthcare facilities, and other noise-sensitive locations where excessive sound can impact operations or the public.
